    Occupation: CNC/CAD CAM Programmer.
    I was responsible for producing laser cut tools, drawings and cad/cam machine codes to produce industrial cutting tools for the print finishing industry.
  • 1989-1991.
    Musician.
    I worked as the keyboard player in a band in Germany.
  • 1991-1993.
    I worked in a small recording studio that I set up with a friend. We wrote soundtrack music for a wide variety of corporate applications and also developed jingles for various radio stations.

    Student
    Whilst studying at De Montfort University I also began working for Polygram Records in Lisbon, Portugal on a sessional basis. I became known to them after I helped to produce a demo for a Portugese band that they decided to subsequently sign. As a result I was able to work extensively in Portugal with many Portugese and Brazilian musicians.

    I opened and managed a small shop selling rugs, kilims, throws and cushions etc. Although the business broke even, it never really made any money. I decided to close the shop.

    Residential Social Worker.
    I worked for the local authority with young people who were ‘looked after’ in the Care system. This inspired me to undertake a masters degree in social work which I began in September 2002.

I have had several opportunities to work with Sly Arts, undertaking music workshops with young people in youth work, educational, prison (young offenders institute) and other settings. Sly Arts has also work with young mothers groups and prisoners in adult prisons.
